Just yesterday went to "Sushi Sam's" (unfortunately not my
restaurant), which so far is my favorite place in San Mateo.
And was treated to dinner by a friend (good friend!) at Higashi
West (Dave recommends) Monday night!!
And I'll return the favor and give two thumbs up
for Sushi Sam's. Always bustling with a lively
atmosphere (No. It is *not* like Miyake) and the
fish there is good. They serve a lot of good
specialty rolls which some of you might like. And
their grilled hamachi collar is good too.
