Due to the impending loss of my connectivity at ClariNet, I'm about
to relocate the webserver and primary DNS machine to a friend's house
(another geodesic dome, coincidentally) located about 8-10 miles from where
we've moved to. They're installing a T1 line over there very shortly, so we
should have comparable performance on the website as we had at ClariNet.
If I can manage to get the @$&#^! list software compiled and
working on the new machine, I'll also be moving all of the mailing lists
over there, which should increase the performance of the lists
too. (Probably not very noticably, since email lists are not instant-reply
by nature, like the web is.)
All of this will be taking place over the next week or two, (I'm
upgrading the new server right now as I type this) and with any luck, there
won't be any noticable outages. But being the realist that I am, I'm sure
we'll suffer a few bumps. I'm just hoping they're not big ones. :-)
