Don,

Actually, you have less right to free speech in America than you think.
If you are exposed to or create classified documents, you first sign an
agreement
as a civilian that puts you on the same level as a member of the military.
Under the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice), it is an act of treason
to
willingly divulge classified documents or information.

The military does not have the same rules or rights as the general
population.
This isn't unfair, just a part of being able to kill people and break
things.
If you are going to go to war, you want an organized group under specific
rules.
The federal and state laws are much too confusing to use in a combat
environment.

No one will dispute that Mike has some good ideas, or that he has thought
about
LTA for a good part of his life. He reads a lot, but at some point decided
ha had learned
enough. When I first got on the LTA list, I was also intimidated by his
knowledge.
Unfortunately, I believe reading and research are lifetime pursuits. As I
began to learn more,
I began to question some of the ideas we all believed because Mike told us
to.
I will agree with Josh on this one, Mike does not like contradiction. He
feels it is
an affront to his expertise for anyone to doubt his calculations or
"proven" ideas.

>I have seen the name Bob used before on this list, but I don't remeber who
or why
>he is?
Bob Ellingwood is Mike's business partner in LTAS and a former member of
the Helios board.
Once Mike became unreasonable, I began communicating through Bob to avoid
direct contact
with Mike.
