Oh...since I'm running Win98SE, I didn't look for other versions. Makes
sense.

Thanks for the URL...I'll check it out, myself. I'm always looking for
good
software, and especially an *intuitive* CAD system.

Clunky or not, one thing you can say about ACAD is that it's
everywhere. Every tech school, most drafting labs, lots of businesses.
It's the standard against which most other CAD systems are judged.
Personally, I find the Windows interface clunky, too... That's why I was
pleasantly surprised with the command-line interface in IntelliCAD. You
can either point and click your way through endless menus, or simply
type in a short command. For example, "revsurf" will take 2 elements,
a curve and a central axis, and generate a 3D grid representative of that
surface of revolution. One command...I haven't even managed to find it
in the submenus yet.
It may be Windows only, but it seems decent.
